How It All Started
No one likes to begin with a difficult story — but that’s exactly where The Orange Resistance was born.
After Donald Trump’s election, I found myself struggling emotionally. Each morning brought new headlines: another group he insulted, another executive order undermining democracy, or another moment of global embarrassment for the country I love.
Then one truth struck me clearly: Silence is acceptance. I couldn’t stand by any longer. I had to act.
Ideas came quickly. I began dedicating long hours — working full days at my regular job, then coming home and devoting another 5 to 10 hours building this movement. That’s when the concept of Visual Solidarity was created — a peaceful, visible way to stand up for democracy and unite people who believe in freedom, decency, and truth.
Who we are.
We Are the Orange Resistance.
We are citizens of the world who care deeply about the future of the United States. We come from all backgrounds — liberal and conservative — united by one truth: Donald Trump poses a real threat to American democracy and freedom around the globe.
We are your mothers and fathers, grandparents, brothers, sisters, friends, and neighbors. We may not always march in the streets, but do not mistake our silence for weakness. Our protest is powerful, peaceful, and visible.
We stand for Visual Solidarity — the act of wearing your values proudly. Through simple symbols like wristbands, shirts, and stickers, we remind the world: we are here, we believe in democracy, and we will not be silenced.
Violence is never the answer. Our strength is in unity, in showing up, in voting, and in making our beliefs known. We are on the right side of history — and we will prevail.
